Federer reached the 15th Halle Open semi-final

The number one seed under three intense sets only defeated the Bautista Agut with the score 6-3, 4-6 and 6-4, thereby 15th in the Halle Open tennis semi-finals.

On June 21, the Halle Open tennis tournament took place in the men’s singles quarter-finals. In the final match on the central court, Roger Federer had a confrontation with Bautista Agut, the opponent had no victory in eight times the two players met before. At this 9th meeting, nothing changed.

Set first witnessed Federer’s impressive performance. The player who has won the tournament 9 times to lose the match with 2 points, and 2 break and win quickly with the score 6-3.

However, a moment of distraction caused “Express Train” to break at the beginning of set 2. Agut played stably in the remaining time to win 6-4. Even so, Federer is still braver at the time of the decision. He broke the break at the hinge set 3 games and won the final.

After nearly 2 hours of competition, the number one Swiss seed surpassed the opponent with the score 6-3, 4-6 and 6-4. He raised the match record of Agut to 9-0. Federer entered the  semi-final for the 15th time and was also beaten by the 10th title in the second round.

“My body is adapting well on the pitch, maybe I like shorter matches. If there’s no problem, I have enough time to recover from Wimbledon,” Federer said.

The “Express Train” opponent in the semi-finals is Pierre-Hugues Herbert, who has overcome the defending champion Borna Coric. After losing 5-7 in the first set, Coric gave up due to a back injury.
